How to choose
a worm gearbox

Match ratio, output speed, duty and motor flange before you order. The three points below cover what our sales team checks on every worm drive enquiry.

What ratio do you need?

NMRV units cover ratios from 5 to 100 depending on frame size. State your input speed and required output RPM so we can confirm the closest standard ratio from stock.

What power and flange?

Power ranges from 0.06kW on NMRV030 up to 11kW on NMRV130. Share your motor frame (for example 71B5 or 90B5) so we supply the correct IEC input flange.

Horizontal or vertical mounting?

NMRV reducers are multi-mounted for horizontal and vertical layouts. Tell us your shaft orientation and we will confirm the correct oil level and mounting arrangement.

Answers to common questions before ordering an NMRV worm reducer.

Yes. NMRV worm reducers are supplied complete with synthetic oil as per the manufacturer specification. Confirm mounting orientation when ordering so oil level is correct on installation.

Frame size sets centre distance, torque capacity and motor flange options. NMRV075 accepts higher power and larger IEC flanges than NMRV063. Use the model table to match your motor and ratio.

Yes. We stock induction motors and can advise on IEC B5 flange pairing for your frame size. Share motor kW and RPM when you enquire.

Standard ratios from 5 to 100 are available depending on frame size. Call with your required output speed and we will confirm the closest stocked ratio.

Yes. We ship pan-India from NR Road. Most standard NMRV frames dispatch the same working day when in stock.
